Hi! My name is Catherine! A self-taught herbalist and lover of herbs. 🙂
The beginning of my journey started on a farm when I was a little girl with a garden full of vegetables and herbs. This was a beautiful garden. The only thing I disliked about the garden was having to weed it. I mean what little kid likes to pull weeds right? We had huge garden spider webs too in this garden and I’d accidentally walk into them a time or two. Not ideal! When anyone in the family would get sick, my mom always resorted to natural means, usually chicken soup with green/black tea and raw honey. I absolutely hated the taste of tea and honey when I was younger, but now have grown to love it. 🙂 It just needed to grow on me I suppose!
Over the years, my mom decided to become an herbalist and further her education around plants and herbal healing with courses from Herbal Healer Academy, Inc. (link is posted to my site under Recommended Resources). She definitely sparked my interest in herbs and plants and was the inspiration for my research. She has continued to pass down her knowledge to me which has grown my curiosity into undertaking researching more into herbs on my own and the incredible effect herbs have in conjunction with our bodies. Since then, I’ve taught her some of my knowledge while she has shared hers. In researching, I discovered most of our ailments, illnesses, and diseases can be alleviated or even cured with herbs.
With that I created a journal to house all the information and research I had done on herbs. This site is a result of that and my passion for herbs has just kept growing ever since. So I am a self-taught herbalist, but am looking at getting fully certified. However, just from my own experiences in using herbs, the remedies I’ve provided in here have helped me and my family in huge ways, and I wish to share this with others so that they can care for their children and their families without the harmful effects of pharmaceutical drugs. If you need advice on anything or I don’t have an herb listed you would like me to post, please let me know. Feedback is always appreciated. 🙂
